We’re proud to share that Van Cleef has been selected as a 2026 Top Projects Awards winner by Lehigh Valley Business, earning recognition for two outstanding projects completed in 2025.
The Top Projects Awards honor the most impactful building and construction projects across Lehigh Valley, PA, celebrating excellence in design, innovation, collaboration, sustainability, and execution. Projects are evaluated on criteria including degree of difficulty, creativity, innovative construction techniques, cooperation among stakeholders, adaptive reuse, and sustainability. Winners are selected by the editors of Lehigh Valley Business and represent projects that not only reflect last year’s achievements but also help shape the region’s future.
Award-Winning Projects:
Falmer Drive Apartments – Bethlehem Township, Northampton County:
This three-story garden apartment development thoughtfully balances accessibility and privacy on a two-acre site in Bethlehem Township. The project included enhanced access driveways, streetscape improvements, on-site parking, landscaping and property screening, utility installations, and an innovatively designed subsurface stormwater management system that minimized site disturbance and preserved existing wooded areas. Designed in compliance with the Commercial Enhancement Overlay District and Streetscape Enhancement Overlay District requirements, the project advances local planning objectives while delivering a high-quality residential environment.
First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union – Financial Center:
This 2,300-square-foot financial center stands out for delivering a full suite of essential banking services within a compact footprint, seamlessly integrated into an existing retail environment. Designed to support First Commonwealth’s people-first banking experience, the facility emphasizes accessibility, modern technology, and personalized service. Sustainability was advanced through the redevelopment of an underutilized site and the implementation of a carefully engineered stormwater management system that reduced site impacts and long-term maintenance needs. The project reflects a meaningful investment in expanding access to financial services within a historically underserved community.
The success of these projects reflects strong collaboration among project partners, including First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, Larken Associates, Boyle Construction, municipal officials, and professional consultants. Van Cleef provided essential engineering and planning services, supporting regulatory approvals and ensuring compliance with all applicable standards.
“We’re honored to be recognized alongside so many impactful projects and grateful to our clients, partners, and communities for the trust and collaboration that make this work possible,” said Ana Martins, PE, Associate, Branch Manager of the Bethlehem, PA Office.
The 2026 Top Projects Awards will be presented at the Lehigh Valley Business Real Estate & Development Summit on March 11 at DeSales University.
