MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING

PROJECT

Ewing Township Municipal Park

Township of Ewing | Mercer County, NJ

Van Cleef partnered with Ewing Township to reimagine and enhance a 15+ acre active recreational park surrounding the Township’s new municipal building on Upper Ferry Road. Our team led the project from initial community engagement—conducting a public input survey—through concept development, master planning, and full engineering design, including preparation of detailed construction documents and specifications. The project was supported in part by funding from the New Jersey Green Acres Program.

The revitalized park features a comprehensive range of amenities designed to serve the community, including three soccer fields, two parking areas, a gazebo gathering space, two bocce courts, and a ¾-mile paved walking trail. Van Cleef also coordinated with the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to successfully permit a pedestrian bridge crossing over on-site wetlands, ensuring environmental compliance while enhancing park connectivity.

Today, the park serves as a vibrant recreational hub and is heavily utilized by local soccer leagues and residents, reflecting the success of a thoughtfully planned and expertly executed design.
