PROJECT

Pope John Paul II High School

Upper Providence Township | Montgomery County, PA

Van Cleef participated in this project to engineer this 92-acre site along Rittenhouse, Souder and Township Line Roads in Upper Providence Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The development on the property consisted of a two-story high school building of 225,485 square feet, along with a future addition of 21,000 square feet of building area. The accompanying school amenities include a full-size track and field surrounding a regulation football field, as well as two (2) combination baseball/soccer fields. Another soccer field and a softball field are also located on the site, as well as the parking to accommodate the high school and all its activities. Four detention basins control the stormwater runoff associated with the site.

Van Cleef also assisted the Archdiocese with various required outside agency approvals, including but not limited to PADEP for the General Permit for the pedestrian crossing through the wetlands, PADEP for the NPDES Permit for Stormwater Management and PADEP & the Army Corps of Engineers for the Wetlands Jurisdictional Determination. A great deal of open space is preserved on the site due to wetlands, steep terrain and existing woodlands.
