Van Cleef partnered with the Pennsbury School District to deliver comprehensive site improvements in support of a major addition at Makefield Elementary School, a historic campus spanning approximately 9 acres. The project addressed critical space deficiencies by incorporating a new cafeteria, auditorium, and kitchen facility designed to meet evolving programmatic needs.
Site enhancements were carefully planned to improve functionality, safety, and capacity across the campus. Key improvements included advanced stormwater management systems for collection and detention, sanitary sewer upgrades, and a fully reconstructed parking lot to increase parking capacity. The design also featured a widened bus driveway with additional queuing and parking spaces, as well as upgrades to existing playground areas.
Van Cleef provided a full suite of professional services, including site surveying, civil site design, stormwater management, landscape architecture, site lighting design, permitting, and construction administration and observation. The team also supported the project through active participation in public meetings, ensuring clear communication and successful project delivery
