Monmouth County, NJ has awarded Van Cleef the design contract for the replacement of Bridge W 17 on Glendola Road over Wreck Pond Brook in Wall Township.
In addition to bridge design, the project scope includes roadway design, geotechnical engineering, hydraulics and hydrology, surveying, and other supporting disciplines. This award reflects the strong collaboration and technical excellence across our teams and offices, coming together to deliver a comprehensive, multidisciplinary solution.
The project presents notable challenges due to its complexity, including the potential need for Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) methods or a significant undertaking to maintain access across the bridge (by-pass road with temporary structure or other alternative) since it is located downstream of a cul-de-sac and provides the sole point of access for multiple homes.
