The Crystal Lake and Ogee Spillway/Dams are located north of the NJ Turnpike (I-95), west of Broad Avenue, south of Sheffield Avenue and east of Dow Place in the City of Englewood. The Lake is approximately 4.2 acres in area and 6 feet deep. The Lake also has a small island in the northwest corner.
The Lake was created from Flat Rock Brook in 1960 during the construction of Interstate 95 by the NJDOT. This was turned over to the NJ Turnpike Authority in 1990.
The Lake inspection was performed to make sure it complies with The Bureau of Dam Safety Standards.
