The Crystal Lake and Ogee Spillway/Dams are located north of the NJ Turnpike (I-95), west of Broad Avenue, south of Sheffield Avenue and east of Dow Place in the City of Englewood. The Lake is approximately 4.2 acres in area and 6 feet deep. The Lake also has a small island in the northwest corner.​

The Lake was created from Flat Rock Brook in 1960 during the construction of Interstate 95 by the NJDOT. This was turned over to the NJ Turnpike Authority in 1990.​

The Lake inspection was performed to make sure it complies with The Bureau of Dam Safety Standards.
