Van Cleef performed a dam inspection survey on each of the dam structures as mandated by N.J.S.A. 58:4-1 and N.J.A.C. 7:20 to determine the following;

1. The design storm for each watershed in concurrence with NJDOT and NJDEP Dam Safety Section.
2. The condition of the dam, the dam site and all appurtenant structures.
3. The hydraulic capacity of the dam spillway and outlet devices based on the design storm and other storm events as per DSS guidelines.
4. The design of the dam as compared to current standards.
5. The re-classification of the dam, if warranted, after completion of the hydraulic/hydrology study and review of downstream parameters.
6. Prepare an Operations & Maintenance Plan for each Dam
7. Update the Emergency Action Plan for each Dam.
8. Perform a survey by a licensed NJ Surveyor and prepare a site map.
9. Investigate the subsurface soil types; prepare a geotechnical investigation report including a seepage analysis and global stability analyses.
