MUNICIPAL ENGINEERING

PROJECT

ADA Access Ramps

Washington Crossing State Park, Hopewell Township, Mercer County | New Jersey

Van Cleef was retained to obtain funding from the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission (DRJTBC) for construction of two Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) ramps to provide access from the Washington Crossing Bridge and State Park to the Delaware and Raritan Canal Tow Path.

Upon approval of funding, Van Cleef Engineering prepared engineering plans and bid specifications. The work included the design of an extensive reinforced concrete wall system with custom railings to be set into the banks of the canal. The walls were then faced with historically correct stone.

Van Cleef provided complete engineering services from project inception through final acceptance, as well as grant administration and oversight.
