Van Cleef was hired by Lafayette College to perform boundary and topographic surveys, prepare site plan drawings and specifications, and obtain municipal and county approvals for the college’s Williams Visual Arts Center. ​

Work included design of utility connections, storm drainage and erosion control measures, parking lot design, plans and specifications, applications to the City of Easton, Lehigh Valley Planning Commission and Northampton County Conservation District, and liaison with the project architect, Spillman Farmer Architects. ​

Van Cleef provided support for avoiding variance based on the reconstruction of the existing building in a floodplain zone.
