Van Cleef was contracted by The Pennington School to deliver comprehensive site improvements supporting a major campus expansion. The project focused on enhancing circulation, parking, and athletic facilities to better serve students, faculty, and visitors.
Key components included the development of a campus circulation plan featuring three new porous pavement parking lots and the reconstruction of an existing lot to improve capacity and sustainability. The project also introduced an approximately 81,800-square-foot synthetic turf multi-purpose athletic field with lighting, providing a modern space for athletic and recreational use.
The design incorporated provisions for future campus growth, including a 46,300-square-foot gymnasium addition, an 18,750-square-foot library expansion, and a new driveway entrance to improve overall traffic flow throughout the campus. Additional site improvements included a sanitary sewer pump station, underground stormwater management systems, landscaping, bleachers, and site lighting.
Van Cleef provided a full range of professional services, including site surveying, civil site design, stormwater management, landscape architecture, lighting design, permitting, and construction administration and inspection. Building on a long-standing relationship of more than 20 years, Van Cleef has supported numerous projects for The Pennington School, including the notable Campus Center project.
