Over the last several years Van Cleef has been awarded an inspection project with NJTA each year. Van Cleef completed the field inspections for 510 GSP bridges and 355 TPK Bridges. Within the GSP Group 2 and 3 inspection contracts, work also included the inspection of 115 sign structures.

Each contract included the biennial NBIS inspection of between 120 to 190 bridges along the GSP and TPK. Work includes first cycle NBE inspections, 100+ LRFR load ratings using BrR (and other programs), NSTM (FCM) inspections, special access/MPT including UB-60, Man-lifts, barge-mounted man lifts, RR flagging, NJDOT permits/coordination, courtesy inspections, new/update clearance/sounding sketches, several Category A/Priority conditions. Bridge types included NSTM (FCM) thru-girders, NSTM Steel Box Girders, NSTM (FCM) girder-floorbeam-stringer, PS Box and I-Beams, concrete arches, concrete rigid frames, multi-steel plate girders. All Bridge Inspection Reports were developed thru the NJTA’s web-based AssetWise (InspectTech) program.

Overhead included overhead sign structure inspections (115 total) including articulated-boom bucket truck access, significant MPT, NJDOT permits/coordination, truss sketches, several Category A/Priority conditions, and development of inspection reports thru a combination of working files and NJTA’s web-based AssetWise (InspectTech) program. A Bulk Sign Structure Report was developed.
