Van Cleef was contracted by the Borough of Island Heights to provide design, bidding, and construction services for the installation of an 8-inch C900 PVC water main extension along Lake Drive. The project involved the replacement and abandonment of the Borough’s existing 4-inch asbestos
cement and cast-iron water mains, installation of approximately 1,174 linear feet of new PVC main, and reconnection of residential and commercial services. The project also included installation of tapping valves, insertion valves, hydrants, thrust blocks, and final surface restoration. The project was
completed on time and within budget, finalizing the Borough’s water main replacement along Lake Drive.
