Kozloski Road (CR 55) and Complex Improvements

Township of Freehold| Monmouth County, NJ

Van Cleef completed engineering design services for the roadway improvements along the Kozloski Road (CR 55) Corridor located in Freehold Township. Project elements included new acceleration and deceleration lanes at the Monmouth County Career Center relocated driveway; lengthening of the left turn lanes at two signalized intersections; installation of a new traffic signal; site and circulation and lighting improvements to the Monmouth County Career parking lot, installation of three new Dynamic Message Signs and milling and overlay along the corridor. Design elements included: survey and mapping, ROW and deed documentation, signing & striping design, soil erosion and sediment control design, geometric roadway design, grading design, lighting design, utility relocations, ADA curb ramp design, maintenance and protection of traffic design, drainage design, guide rail design, traffic signal design, and quantity calculations and preparation of an engineer’s cost estimate. 

The project required public outreach and extensive utility coordination. All design work was performed within the County’s aggressive design schedule of four months.
