Van Cleef provided inspections of and design recommendations to the Route 1 (TMTB) and Bridge Street (LTTSB) approach roadways, ramps, drainage and pedestrian facilities, and structures within the jurisdiction of the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission.​

Project efforts included comprehensive evaluations, analysis, and design recommendations for a variety of roadway and bridges maintenance and safety improvements. Based on the field investigations and subsequent engineering evaluations, a variety of maintenance repairs and safety and operational improvements were designed, including new ADA curb ramps at intersection corridors, milling and resurfacing the asphalt sections of the US Route 1 northbound lanes, and the asphalt sections of PA Ramps A, E, J, concrete pavement rehabilitation. The resurfacing of Bridge Street from the LTTSB up to Delmorr Avenue was completed, as well as along New Warren Street. Full-depth concrete roadway sections of Central Avenue at Bridge Street were replaced, all utility and storm sewer manholes and valves within pavement limits were reset, and all roadways were restriped, bridges, and ramps within the project limits. Raised pavement markers in areas were replaced to be resurfaced, cleaned all storm water drain inlets and all debris from bridge deck joints, cleaned and sealed all of the asphalt pavement cracks and joints in areas that are not resurfaced, repair and seal bridge decks on 12 structures within the Commission’s Jurisdiction. The design recommendations were summarized in a Scope Development Report prepared for the DRJTBC. These improvements were then advanced onto Preliminary and Final Design engineering documents, including plans, specifications, utility accommodations, construction schedule, and cost estimate. The project was successfully delivered to the DRJTBC within budget and within an aggressive design schedule.
