Van Cleef Engineering was contracted by Cenlar Federal Savings Bank to provide design services for an expansion of their existing parking lot. As their office experienced rapid growth, they needed to expand the parking lot from 345 parking spaces to 561 parking space.

The proposed design included the reconfiguration of existing parking spaces to improve pedestrian circulation, evaluation of vehicle turning movements to accommodate deliveries, emergency vehicles and refuse pick up. To accommodate the additional impervious surfaces, a detailed stormwater management design was performed utilizing porous pavement and underground detention.

As part of Van Cleef Engineering’s contract, approvals were obtained from the Ewing Township Planning Board, Mercer County Planning Board, Delaware and Raritan Canal Commission and the Mercer County Soil Conservation district.
