Construction Inspection

Van Cleef Engineering Associates was retained to provide construction administration, construction inspection and construction testing for this portion of the Lawrence Hopewell Trail, a multi-use trail system in Lawrence and Hopewell Township that, when completed, will be 22 miles long.

The project required installation of a large reinforced concrete retaining wall, large elliptical pipe culvert extension, porous pavement trail, decorative bike railing and guide rail. The project was funded by a FHWA grant through the Borough of Pennington. The project was a joint collaboration between Pennington Borough, Hopewell Township and Mercer County.

Van Cleef Engineering Associates provided full time inspection and all required FHWA and NJDOT documentation to complete the project.
