Van Cleef served as the design consultant of safety and operational improvements at the intersection of County Route 547 & County Routes 524/524A in Howell Township. The signalized intersection is located just north of the interchange of County Route 547 and Interstate I-195.​

Project elements included: ground and aerial surveys, traffic counts during peak travel periods, preparation of a traffic impact report, evaluation of crash data, preparation of a concept alternatives design report, horizontal and vertical geometric design, improve pedestrian connectivity in accordance with ADA standards, traffic signal design, lighting design, utility relocations, drainage design, sign and striping design, right-of-way acquisitions and parcel maps, traffic control and staging design, project specifications and construction schedule. Coordination with the NJDOT is required due to proposed modifications to the Interstate I-195 ramp connection to County Route 547.
